Over time, a coherent story of a life devoted to art took shape, and more than a million followers responded to Smith’s unique aesthetic in images that chart her passions, devotions, obsessions, and whims. Followers felt an immediate affinity with these miniature windows into Smith’s world, photographs of her daily coffee, the books she’s reading, the graves of beloved heroes-William Blake, Dylan Thomas, Sylvia Plath, Simone Weil, Albert Camus. In 2018, without any plan or agenda for what might happen next, Patti Smith posted her first Instagram photo: her hand with the simple message “Hello Everybody!” Known for shooting with her beloved Land Camera 250, Smith started posting images from her phone including portraits of her kids, her radiator, her boots, and her Abyssinian cat, Cairo. ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS OF THE YEAR: Variety, Pitchfork, PopSugar A deeply moving and brilliantly idiosyncratic visual book of days by the National Book Award–winning author of Just Kids and M Train, featuring more than 365 images and reflections that chart Smith’s singular aesthetic-inspired by her wildly popular Instagram. ![]() Further, these results are delineated in the tabular form for better understanding. The results of various papers have been discussed which is based on antenna performance factors such as return loss, resonant frequency, bandwidth and gain. The FDTD and FEM based methodology has been used by various researchers to simulate and analyze the antenna. The problems faced by researchers while designing the antennas are also reported in this paper and finally extensive literature survey has been carried out to understand the journey of the antenna from dipole to fractal, especially the fractal antenna which is compact in size and exhibits the multiband/wideband characteristics and widely useful in wireless applications. Firstly, it gives brief introduction about antenna and its history, and the various types of antennas. Various efforts have been made by distinguished researchers to design the antenna for market needs. This paper presents the comprehensive review of developments in the field of antenna engineering. Designed antenna is useful for the wireless communication such as WiMAX (3.3 GHz–3.7 GHz), X-band satellite applications (7.1 GHz–7.76 GHz) and point-to-point high speed wireless communication (5.93 GHz–8.5 GHz). Antenna is designed and simulated by using Ansoft HFSS v13 simulator exhibits the impedance bandwidth (S11 ≤ –10 dB) and VSWR ≤ 2, almost omnidirectional gain at frequency 3.63 GHz. This design is predominantly concentrated on generation of multiple frequencies which results in improved bandwidth and better characteristics in juxtaposition to the conventional Microstrip Patch Antenna, due to which a single antenna may be useful for multi functions. Proposed antenna operates for eight distinct frequencies and useful for S, C, X and Ku Band applications. In this paper, a design of Microstrip Patch Antenna with E-shaped slots has been investigated for multiband applications. ![]() The measured highest gain differs from 1 dBi to 1.9 dBi inthe entire frequency range. The antenna displays multiband behaviour in the frequency range from 3 to 10 GHz which is suitable for wireless communications applications. The antenna gives tri-frequency response in LTE range(600 MHz6GHz):1.17 GHz, 3.44 GHz and 6 GHz and tetra frequency response in the UWB frequency range(3 GHz to 10 GHz): 8.1 GHz, 9.5 GHz, 11.8 GHz & 13.5 GHz which could be used in wireless and radar communications. The overall performance of the antenna demonstrates an average impedance bandwidth(IBW) of 300 MHz with a good impedance matching (S11< -10 dB).The proposed antenna has the satisfactory radiation characteristics throughout its operating band. The structure is designed on an FR4_epoxy substrate (εr=4.4).The performance is evaluated using HFSS software. A novel arrow shaped planar multiband antenna based on apollonian gasket and Soddy’s circle with Defective Ground Structure (DGS) is described in this paper. ![]()
